Marian High School graduate Dominic Montero from Tamaqua will continue his academic and football careers at Glenville State in West Virginia.
Montero, who also spent a year at Valley Forge Military Academy, will receive $12,000 a year to attend the Division 2 school and play football.
During his time at Marian, Montero was a starter on the offensive line. In addition to football, Montero was a member of the track team and also the mock trial team.
At Valley Forge, Montero was named first team all-Seaboard Conference. He was also the Outreach Director for the Republican Club.
The son of Maria Montero and James Dirzulaitis, Dominic plans on majoring in education.
