Local Baseball Roundup: Braves, JT post first wins of season
The Berlinsville Braves and Jim Thorpe’s Connie Mack team both picked up their first wins of the season on Tuesday.

Drew Frank had two hits, one a double, and knocked in two runs Tuesday to help Jim Thorpe roll to an 11-1 victory over Coplay.
The winners, who earned their first victory of the season, also received a single and double from Ian Hubbard and Michael Cadugan-Dougherty.
James Lordi gained the pitching win, tossing 4 1/3 hitless innings, and striking out nine.

Jim Thorpe’s Jared Joyce had three hits, including an RBI triple, but Catasauqua came away with a 9-2 victory on Saturday.
Ian Hubbard knocked in Thorpe’s other run, while Evan Dart contributed a double.

Corey Webb’s RBI single in the seventh inning Tuesday snapped a tie game and lifted the Berlinsville Braves to an eventual 4-3 victory over the Easton Falcons.
Jake Augustus (Northwestern graduate) had two hits, one a double, for the Braves, who posted their first win of the season.
The winners (1-3) also received a double and two RBIs from Cody Krupa (Northern Lehigh). Matt Minchhoff (Tamaqua), who entered in the sixth, earned the win.
