Painting workshop in Tamaqua

A “how to” workshop on milk painting will be held June 23 at the Tamaqua Community Art Center, 125 Pine St., Tamaqua. The class will be held from 9 a.m. to noon.

Milk paint is nontoxic and water based, usually made by mixing milk, lime and color pigment. It has been used for thousands of years and is commonly used for making authentic furniture reproductions.

The class offers four choices, bring your own piece to paint, or select from a two-step stool, a drawer or birdhouse to paint. The fee for the course is determined by your choice. All supplies and tools are included.

For more information or to reserve a spot before June 2, email classicamyjoane@gmail.com.
