A young man involved in a crash along the turnpike in Carbon county escaped serious injuries on Saturday morning. The crash occurred just before 10 a.m. in the northbound lanes at the 83.0 mile marker. Initial reports say a black sedan impacted with the concrete median divider, and then came to rest along the right beam where the vehicle caught fire. The vehicle was completely aflame by the time the Franklin Township Fire Company arrived on scene. State police at Pocono are investigating the incident. COPYRIGHT LARRY NEFF/SPECIAL TO THE TIMES NEWS
