A community garden is coming to Summit Hill that will help those in need.
The St. Vincent de Paul Society, an emergency food pantry of St. Joseph Parish of the Panther Valley, is planning to create a community garden in a section of land that is not used for burials in the St. Michael’s new Cemetery in Summit Hill.
According to the group’s flier, members will be planting 90 tomato and 90 pepper plants in the garden. The produce will then be distributed to those in need to provide fresh, healthy items for the dinner table.
Help is needed to care for the garden throughout the summer months.
