Bids are now being accepted for the first phase of the multipurpose fire training facility.
Last week, Carbon County Commissioners’ Chairman Wayne Nothstein announced that bid packets are out for Phase 1A, the widening of Emergency Lane leading to the Emergency Management Agency and 911 Communications Center and the future site of the training facility.
“If you didn’t receive a packet, they are available at the purchasing department,” he said.
A mandatory prebid meeting for anyone wishing to submit a bid has been scheduled for 10 a.m. May 14 at the Carbon County Communications Center, 1264 Emergency Lane, Nesquehoning.
Bids can be submitted to the county controller’s office until 3:30 p.m. May 29 and will be opened at the county commissioners meeting at 10:30 a.m. on May 31.
