State police at Schuylkill Haven reported investigating a two-vehicle crash at 7:17 a.m. on May 2 along Coal Street (Route 209) in Port Carbon.

Troopers said Warren T. Jefferson, 36, of Kaska, was southbound while Jannelli Torres Marrero, 29, of Hazleton, was northbound. Jefferson attempted to make a left turn and was struck by Torres Marrero’s vehicle. The front end struck the front right of the Jefferson vehicle.

Jefferson was injured and taken to the Lehigh Valley Hospital — East Campus, Pottsville. Torres Marrero and passenger Emanuel Rivera, 29, of Lansford, were not injured.

Jefferson was cited for the crash.
