Bethany EC Church

Bethany EC Church, 222 North St. holds Sunday worship with the Rev. Jeff Stansbury, pastor.

Sunday school is at 9:30 a.m. with classes for all ages, including adult Bible study class, fellowship time at 10:15 a.m., morning worship at 10:45 a.m. with guest Pastor Keith Miller formerly of Jim Thorpe, preschool nursery available and Jr. Church provided for children in kindergarten through sixth grade.

Monday: Kids Club, 6-7:15 p.m.

Tuesday: Ladies Bible study, 10 a.m. at Blocker’s residence.

Wednesday: Prayer meeting, 7 p.m.

Thursday: Men’s Bible study at McDonald’s, 5:15 a.m.; choir practice, 7 p.m.

Looking ahead:

• May 26, Bare Necessities Pantry, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., St. Peter’s Community Resource Center.

• St. Peter’s yard sale fundraiser, 8 a.m. to noon June 15, 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. June 16.

Crossroads Community Church

Crossroads Community Church, 580 Coal St. holds Sunday worship service with Pastor Claudio Ruba. It is a place for a fresh start with God.

Adult Sunday school at 9:30 a.m.; Contemporary worship service at 10:30 a.m. with nursery available; Children’s Sunday school at 11 a.m.; Fellowship following service.

Tuesday: Adult Bible Study at 6:30 p.m., currently studying the book of 1 Peter.

Communion: Last Sunday of the month.

Trinity happenings

First Saturday worship with Holy Communion and baptism at Trinity Lutheran Church, 175 S. Third St., begins at 5 p.m.

Sunday worship with Holy Communion is at 9:30 a.m. Gluten-free communion wafers are available for those with allergy issues. The Rev. Nancy Moore presides. Vicar Rich Bergen assists. Coffeehouse fellowship follows.

Sunday church school classes for students age 3 through sixth grade begin at 10:45 a.m.

“Breaking Bread” youth group for students in grades 7-12 will meet in the youth room from 5-7 p.m. Sunday for supper, Bible study and games. Vicar Rich Bergen is the director.
