May 2, 1984 — Jeff Hill’s three-run homer in the first inning gives Lehighton a lead it will never lose, and the Indians go on to post an 8-6 Centennial League victory over Stroudsburg. The Indians, coached by Tom Schaeffer, tack on three more runs in the third frame as Tom Keer, Scott Freeman, and Mike Tkach all deliver RBI singles. Rich Barilla adds some needed insurance in the fourth with a two-run single. Allan Shanton, Barilla, and Tkach finish with two hits apiece to pace the 11-hit attack.
