Pocono Greyhound Adoption with be hosting the Greyt Hound Hustle 5K Run/Walk and Dog Walk on June 2 at Tuscarora State Park. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. and the 5K starts at 10 a.m.

There will be awards for the top three overall male and female and for age group winners. Preregistration before May 23 is $20 and includes a T-shirt. Registration after May 23 is $25. There is a free raffle of over 40 gift cards and baskets for all participants after the race.

The walking of any breed of dogs on the course is encouraged. This is a unique course with moderate hills.

After the race, there will be a Wine & Wags Party at Galen Glen Winery in Andreas from noon to 4 p.m. Leashed pets are allowed outside all buildings. Bring $5 to play the games and win prizes. Wine and beer will be available for purchase.

Pocono Greyhound Adoption’s mission is to provide education to the public about retired racing greyhounds. It also raises funds in order to care for and place retired greyhounds in their forever homes. Volunteers and their greyhounds will be available to meet and greet and answer questions about greyhound adoption.
