A Monroe County man was killed when his all-terrain vehicle collided into a truck.

State police at Fern Ridge said the crash occurred at 5:48 p.m. on Saturday along Gilbert Road in Chestnuthill Township.

Troopers said James P. Greydanus, 40, of Gilbert, was operating a Yamaha Breeze ATV in a field towards Gilbert Road at a high rate of speed. Troy M. Greenzweig, 45, of Kresgeville, was driving a 1971 Ford truck northbound on Gilbert Road.

Troopers said Greydanus’ ATV traveled onto Gilbert Road and across the southbound lane, entered the northbound lane and struck the front of the truck. Greydanus was pronounced dead at the scene. Greenzweig was not injured.
