Joyce White of Palmerton was recognized for having donated 15,000 hours of her time to the Palmerton Hospital during the Volunteer Recognition Program and New Member Tea of the hospital auxiliary held recently.
White, who received a congratulatory pin and other gifts courtesy of the auxiliary, has been a volunteer at the hospital for the past 33 years.
Terry Purcell, Blue Mountain Health System’s vice president of ambulatory and support services, addressed the assembly, lauding those in attendance for their efforts, saying, “the hours you put in for volunteering are incredible.”
Among those also recognized with award pins were Helen Sander (5,000 hours) and Dan Shook (4,000 hours).
