Three people are facing drug counts following a search of a Summit Hill residence.
Borough police said on Wednesday, along with agents of the state Attorney General’s office, they served a search warrant at 52 W. Ludlow St. The warrant was the result of an ongoing joint investigation between Summit Hill police at the bureau of narcotic investigations of the AG office.
Police arrested a male after he left the residence. He had several bags of heroin stamped “fire and fury” in his possession at the time.
After the search warrant was executed, police found several more bundles of heroin, stamped the same way, a small amount of methamphetamine and a large marijuana grow operation in several upstairs rooms. There were also several firearms seized from the residence.
As a result Elizabeth Garrett, 56, and Emerson A. Garrett, 59, both of the Ludlow Street address; and William Norman Derau, 43, of 48 W. Ridge St., Lansford, were taken into custody.
Elizabeth Garrett has been charged with criminal conspiracy, possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, unlawful delivery of a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance.
Emerson Garrett has been charged with possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Derau has been charged with criminal conspiracy and possession of a controlled substance.
The three were arraigned before a district judge.
Records indicate that Derau and Elizabeth Garrett are inmates in the county prison in Nesquehoning. Emerson Garrett was initially placed in the prison but has since been bonded out.
