Joseph Seemiller, of Lehighton, a member of Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine’s MD Class of 2018, was inducted into the Gold Humanism Honor Society on March 15.
The mission of the Gold Humanism Honor Society is to recognize individuals who are exemplars of humanistic patient care and who can serve as role models, mentors and leaders in medicine. GHHS honors medical students, residents, fellows, role-model physician teachers and others who demonstrate excellence in humanistic clinical care, leadership, compassion and dedication to service. GHHS currently has more than 25,000 members in training and practice.
GHHS was founded by the Arnold P. Gold Foundation, a nonprofit organization that works with health care professionals to ensure that compassion, respect and empathy are at the core of all health care interactions.
