Mr. and Mrs. Hilbert Haas of Lehighton celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on April 15.

Mrs. Haas is the former Fran Pratcher of Summit Hill, daughter of the late Frank and Susan Pratcher. She is employed as a crossing guard in Lehighton for over 50 years.

Mr. Haas is the son of the late Calvin and Rebecca (Nothstein) Haas of Lehighton. He is retired from Haas’ Grocery Store in Lehighton. Hilly is a substitute crossing guard in Lehighton.

The couple has two children, Ken, at home, and Susan, wife of Roger Wirth of Tioga. They have two granddaughters, Katelin Rose, a senior at Mansfield University, Mansfield, and Chloe Elizabeth, a senior at Williamson Jr. Sr. High School in Tioga.
