Widow/Widowers
A widow/widowers lunch will be held at the Fire Escape Coffee House, 312 Delaware Ave., Palmerton at noon April 26. Life is difficult with the passing of a spouse. Love and compassion from those who have been through it and can truly understand can make a world of difference. Come and join the lunch for support and friendship. This is held the fourth Thursday of each month.
Donkey basketball
A donkey basketball game will be held at the Palmerton Area High School, 3529 Fireline Road at 7 p.m. Saturday. This is a fundraiser for the Class of 2019 all-night party.
Coffee house event
Steve Perillo and Yvonne Hartman will perform at the Fire Escape Coffee House, 312 Delaware Ave., Palmerton at 6 p.m. Saturday. Perillo has been a Christian singer/songwriter for over 40 years. All are invited.
American Legion
Palmerton American Legion Post 269 will meet at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the VFW Post 2020 Forest Inn Road, Palmerton. The group meets the fourth Tuesday of each month.
Community meal
A free community meal will be held at St. John’s Episcopal Church, 365 Lafayette Ave., Palmerton from 4 to 6 p.m. April 26. All are invited to join in a free meal and fellowship.
Yoga classes
Yoga classes are offered every Saturday morning at 9 a.m. at the Palmerton Area Library, 402 Delaware Ave., Palmerton. Call the teacher at 570-436-1762 for more information or stop in on a Saturday morning.
Food for Fines
Food for Fines month continues at the Palmerton Area Library. During the month of April donate one nonperishable food item in place of each $1 fine owed. All donated food items will be given to the CACPAC food pantry in Palmerton.
