Kindergarten registration for the 2018-19 school year for Palmerton Area School District will be held at the district office on April 23, 24 and 25 from 8:30-11 a.m. and 12:30-2:45 p.m. Please call Kimberly Ottinger at 610-826-7101, ext. 5023, to schedule an appointment.

A parent or guardian and the child must attend this appointment. Students will receive a vision and hearing screening and paperwork will be processed. A second date will be scheduled in June for the student to receive their readiness assessment.

Children must be 5 years of age on or before Sept. 1, 2018, to attend kindergarten. Parents will need to have the child’s birth certificate or other acceptable proof of age. Proof of immunizations including four doses of Tetanus/Diphtheria/Pertussis (one dose on or after 4th birthday), four doses of polio, three doses of hepatitis B, two doses of Measles, Mumps and Rubella (German measles) and two doses of Varicella (chickenpox) or evidence of immunity is required.

Parents will need two forms of identification to prove residency in the district. Parents are asked to complete the kindergarten registration packet, which can be found on the district website at www.palmerton.org before their scheduled appointment.
