The Black Diamond Writers Network, founded in 2007, now has its own dedicated website. Information about the network has been available online for years, thanks to the Tamaqua Public Library, but members decided it was time to make the leap.
Information about the new website, www.blackdiamondwritersnetwork.org, was discussed during the group’s March meeting, which was held March 17 at the library. Member Stephen Goodale, who will serve as webmaster, explained the benefits of having a website and a Facebook page, detailing the information available online to members and potential members.
The nonprofit organization’s goal is to offer support to anyone interested in the art of writing. Meetings are held from 10 a.m. to noon the third Saturday of every month, with the exception of July and August, at the Tamaqua Public Library, 30 S. Railroad St., Tamaqua. Most meetings have a guest speaker. There are also regular workshops, critique sessions, author panels, a monthly newsletter and an annual writer’s conference.
Membership is open to all ages. Interested parties are welcome to attend three free meetings to determine if they are interested in a membership.
For more information, visit the new website or call 570-645-2717.
