ALLENTOWN, Pa. (AP) — A coroner says investigators believe a man killed his wife in their eastern Pennsylvania home and later took his own life.
The Lehigh County coroner's office says 26-year-old Lwam Tesfamariam was killed after 11:30 p.m. Monday in her Allentown home but her body wasn't found until Tuesday afternoon. She died of sharp force injuries and possible asphyxiation, and her death was ruled a homicide.
Coroner Scott Grim said her 35-year-old husband, Ambes Weldeabzgh, was found dead at about 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at another address in Allentown. His death was ruled a suicide.
Grim said in a statement that the two were husband and wife, and Allentown police and county investigators "are satisfied that" the man was responsible for the woman's death.
