State police at the Lehighton barracks are investigating a theft that happened between 12:30 p.m. Feb. 4 and 6 p.m. Feb. 12 in Bowmanstown.

Police said a 74-year-old man from Bowmanstown reported a 9-mm handgun that had been kept in his desk drawer inside his residence was missing.

Police said troopers conducted interviews with the victim and neighbors in the surrounding area and were met with negative results.
