Pleasant Valley school district is now closed.

The following school have announced 2-hour delays today:

Carbon Career & Technical Institute, 2-hour delay

Carbon-Lehigh Intermediate Unit, 2-hour delay

Jim Thorpe Area School District will be operating on a 2-hour delay today. 

Lehighton Area School District, 2-hour delay

Palmerton Area School District, 2-hour delay

Panther Valley will be operating on a 2-hour delay today. 

Tamaqua will be operating on a 2-hour delay today. 

Weatherly Area School District will be on a 2-hour delay.

The Schuylkill County Youth Summit, scheduled for today at Penn State Schuylkill has been postponed due to the weather.  The event has been rescheduled for March 23.

Temperatures are below freezing this morning, any melted snow will refreeze. This results in ice on area roads this morning,

especially untreated roads.

Motorists should exercise caution when traveling this morning.

Scattered snow showers are also moving through the area and are expected to continue throughout the morning.
