Have you ever wanted to run away and join the circus? The Pocono Juggle/Circus Arts Festival will make it possible this weekend in Carbon County.
The event will take place on Saturday and Sunday at Panther Valley Jr./Sr. High School. Events scheduled for Friday were postponed due to inclement weather.
The festival includes activities and workshops throughout the weekend, highlighted by “the Big Show” Saturday night at 7 p.m. Admission to the big show is $10.
On Sunday at 9:30 a.m., the jugglers will head to the No. 9 mine in Lansford in an attempt to break a Guinness World Record for most people juggling inside an underground mine.
The festival will draw jugglers and circus artists from throughout the U.S. and Canada to join together and learn throughout the weekend.
It will include a constructucion zone for those wanting to learn how to juggle, and a human hamster ball.
“This event is where jugglers and circus arts enthusiasts come to practice their craft, share their craft, rekindle friendships, and build new friendships,” a press release said.
A concession stand will be available on Saturday and Sunday thanks to the school’s PTO and the Coaldale C.H.O.S.E. organization.
