A Canadian man was found dead Tuesday evening in a wooded area of Camelback Ski Resort in Monroe County in what state police said was a reported skiing accident.

Lincoln James Kuwabara, 26, of Ontario was found by a ranger from Camelback Ski Resort at 8:12 p.m. in a wooded area of the resort in Jackson Township.

Kuwabara’s brother had reported him missing at about 8 p.m., state police said.

Rangers attempted to save Kuwabara’s life, and he was taken down the mountain and then to Lehigh Valley-Pocono Medical Center in Stroudsburg. He was pronounced dead at the hospital, state police said. State police said the incident remains under investigation.
