David Dietrich of Slatington was appointed to serve as a member of the Northern Lehigh School Board, filling a vacancy created by the resignation in January of Annabel Fogel.

Dietrich is employed as assistant vice president and assistant manager of the Kutztown Branch of the First National Bank of Allentown. A graduate of William Allen High School, he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in mathematics from Kutztown University and graduated from the P.B.A. School of Banking.

His term will expire in December of this year, meaning he will have to pursue election to the board if he wishes to remain on it after this year.
