Three people were injured Tuesday night in a head-on collision along Route 309 in West Penn Township.
The township police department are investigating the crash, with entrapment, that occurred around 10 p.m. on Route 309 in the area of South Tamaqua.
Police said the car crossed three lanes of Route 309 while heading south and into a tractor-trailer that was headed north. Three were injured in the crash, and two were flown by air medical. Assisting at the scene were Penn Mahoning Ambulance, Tamaqua Ambulance, West Penn Fire Company, Tamaqua Fire Company, Tamaqua Police Department, Pennsylvania Department of Transportation, Soley’s Towing and Nothstein Towing.
