Pleasant Valley High School is expected to reopen Tuesday after a bomb threat closed the school today.
According to school officials, the threat was directed specifically at Pleasant Valley High School was discovered early this morning by a building administrator.
Although the threat was not perceived to be credible, it was specific in nature and prompted the administration to close the high school and immediately contact the Pennsylvania State Police.
State police brought 4 dogs to sweep the building and declares it safe at 12:30 p.m.
The high school will remain under lockdown until the opening of school tomorrow. No unauthorized people will be permitted to enter the building.
The school was closed as a precautionary measure, though students who were already on buses were transported to Pleasant Valley Middle School, according to a message posted on the school website.
High school faculty and staff were also to report to the middle school.
Superintendent David Piperato released the following statement, "The safety concern is specific to the high school.
"All other district schools are safe for students and staff. We will be providing additional information as it becomes available."
Officials said the school district will continue to work in conjunction with the Pennsylvania State Police to complete the investigation and prosecute those responsible to the fullest extent of the law.
All other schools in the district were open.
