A 20-year-old man from Kunkletown is facing charges of possession of marijuana after a traffic stop at 9:47 p.m. Jan. 24 in the area of Middle Creek Road, east of Route 534, in Polk Township, where police also learned the man is wanted in Cumberland County.

State police at the Lehighton barracks said the man was a passenger in a vehicle that was stopped for a violation. In addition to finding the marijuana in his possession, police said they learned there is an active warrant out for the man’s arrest out of Cumberland County, where he failed to appear for previous drug charges.

The man was transported to the Monroe County Correctional Facility in Snydersville.
