A 25-year-old Weatherly man is the suspect in a theft incident relating to the unauthorized use of a victim’s checking account and credit cards and using the information to make more than $10,000 worth of purchases.

State police at the Lehighton barracks are investigating the theft/access device fraud incident that happened between 10 a.m. Sept. 12 and 8 p.m. Jan. 24.

The victim is a 59-year-old man from 45 Oak Hill Road, Weatherly, who reported the suspect made the purchases by using the victim’s checking account and credit cards.
