A man is facing charges following an incident in Schuylkill County on Saturday. State police at Frackville said the incident began in the 700 block of Sunbury Road in Cass Township.
According to troopers around 7 p.m., it was reported a man was robbed of his personal belongings and his vehicle. An investigation revealed that Kevin M. Mabry, 31, no address given, struck the victim, with his fists and removed an Apple watch he was wearing and his iPhone. Mabry subsequently placed a knife to the victim’s neck and removed his vehicle keys. He then took the victim’s vehicle, a 2007 Nissan Murano.
Mabry fled the scene in the vehicle but was involved in a crash with the vehicle striking a residence a short distance from the crime scene. Mabry was injured and flown to a hospital for treatment, troopers said.
Troopers said charges of robbery, theft, aggravated and simple assault, recklessly endangering another person terroristic threats and harassment have been filed against Mabry.
