The Northwestern boys and girls basketball teams picked up Colonial League wins over Pen Argyl on Wednesday night. The Weatherly girls basketball team was also victorious in non-league action.
BOYS BASKETBALL
Pen Argyl-Northwestern
Northwestern exploded in the second half to pull out a 65-43 Colonial League win over Pen Argyl.
The Tigers (12-8, 9-7) got a game-high 16 points from Sam Yadush, while Deven Bollinger added 10.
For the Green Knights (3-17, 1-14), Conor Fehr scored 12 points.
Northwestern also prevailed in the JV contest, 62-28.

Bangor pushed past Northern Lehigh with its high-powered offense for a 72-49 Colonial League victory.
Bernard Davis led the Slaters with 15 points.
Brandon Hess and Nick Seier tallied 12 points apiece for the Bulldogs (10-10, 7-9), who still need one more victory to qualify for the District 11 playoffs.

Thomas Schultz poured in 30 points to lead Lourdes Regional to a 75-55 Schuylkill League win over Marian.
Adam Sandri added 18 points for the Red Raiders (15-3, 10-0).
Tyler Fritz scored 15 points and Jarred Maylath added 13 for the Colts (9-8, 6-4). Marian, which still needs one league win to qualify for the District 11 playoffs, fell two games behind Panther Valley in the loss column in the Division 3 standings.

Notre Dame of Green Pond outscored Palmerton in each quarter to claim a 63-26 Colonial League win.
The Crusaders were led by Natalie Galle’s 15 points.
The Blue Bombers (8-12, 7-9) received 12 points from Linnaea Leister.
Palmerton needs to win its final two games to guarantee itself a spot in the postseason. The Bombers can still qualify based on rating points even if they fail to get to .500 in league play. They are currently holding down the eighth and final District 11 Class 3A playoff berth,
