Trinity happenings
First Saturday worship with Holy Communion at Trinity Lutheran Church, 175 S. Third St., begins at 5 p.m. Sunday worship with Holy Communion and Boy Scout recognition begins at 9:30 a.m. Gluten-free communion wafers are available for those with allergy issues. The Rev. Nancy Moore presides. Vicar Rich Bergen assists. A special “Souper Bowl of Caring” offering will be received to benefit the Trinity Pantry. Coffeehouse fellowship follows.
Sunday church school classes for students age 3 through sixth grade begin at 10:45 a.m.
First Tuesday Quiet Communion is at 10 a.m. Feb. 6.
For those desiring to seek membership at Trinity or arranging a baptismal date, an appointment may be arranged with Pastor Moore by contacting the church office at 610-377-4303.
In the event of inclement weather which may lead to cancellations, look on the listings on WFMZ-TV or BRCTV Channel 13, plus a message will be recorded on the church phone.
Lent begins with Ash Wednesday on Feb. 14. Worship with Holy Communion and imposition of ashes on the forehead is at noon and 7 p.m.
Bethany EC Church
Bethany EC Church, 222 North St. holds Sunday worship with the Rev. Jeff Stansbury, pastor.
Sunday school is at 9:30 a.m. with classes for all ages, including adult Bible study class, fellowship time at 10:15 a.m., morning worship at 10:45 a.m., preschool nursery available and Jr. Church provided for children in kindergarten through sixth grade.
Monday: Kids Club, 6-7:15 p.m. each Monday.
Tuesday: Ladies Bible study, 10 a.m. at Blocker’s residence.
Wednesday: Revelation Bible study, 6 p.m.; prayer meeting, 7 p.m.
Thursday: Men’s Bible study at McDonald’s, 5:15 a.m.; choir practice, 7 p.m.

Clothing ministry in need of new or gently used children’s clothing, sizes infant to size 12. Drop off Fridays, 10 a.m. to noon at side door.
