A woman had to rescued from her overturned vehicle Tuesday morning on Mahoning Township.

The crash occurred about 10:30 a.m. as she was driving her Jeep south on Fritz Valley road on a snow covered roadway.

The unit entered the right berm rolling down an embankment onto its side. Members of the Mahoning Valley and Lehighton fire companies extricate the woman from the wreckage.

She was treated at the scene by members of the Mahoning Valley ambulance and Lehighton paramedics before being transported to an area trauma center.

Mahoning Township police are investigating the incident.
