Senior center

The menu at the Panther Valley Senior Center for the week of Jan. 22-26 is:

Monday: Cheeseburger, oven potatoes, sauteed cabbage and fruit salad

Tuesday: Chicken, herbed rice or buffalo chicken sandwich

Wednesday: Kielbasa, halushki, potatoes, applesauce and doughnut

Thursday: Roast beef and mashed potatoes or turkey Swiss wrap

Friday: Cabbage soup, chicken salad sandwich and an orange

The Panther Valley Senior Center has announced upcoming events through Jan. 26.

Board games on Jan. 18 at 11 a.m.; movie and popcorn starting at 10 a.m. on Jan. 19.

Now You Have It Now You Don’t at 11 a.m. on Jan. 22; Horse Racing at 11 a.m. on Jan. 23; Bingo at 11 a.m. on Jan. 24; Women’s Pool and Men’s Cards at 10 a.m. on Jan. 25. It’s never to early to start practice for Senior Games. Come in on Jan. 26 at 10 a.m. and get started.

Nesquehoning

Zion Lutheran

Zion Lutheran Church, 2 East Catawissa Street, Nesquehoning will hold its annual congregational meeting on Sunday immediately following the morning worship service. Reports for 2017 will be reviewed, council members will be elected, and the 2018 budget will be adopted. Worship service begins at 9 a.m. Pastor John Keiter will preside.
