Benefit Dinner

Support Jaylin in her fight against Juvenile Arthritis. A benefit spaghetti dinner, bake sale and basket raffle will be held Jan. 27 at the West End Fire Company, 855 Princeton Ave., Palmerton. The event will be from 4 to 8 p.m.

Class of 1948

All classmates, spouses, companions and caregivers are invited to Palmerton High School Class of 1948’s quarterly class reunion at Bert’s Steak House, Delaware Avenue, Palmerton at noon Jan. 18. Come and spend an afternoon of fellowship and fun. Any questions, call Blanche Yanick at 610-826-7885.

Art show and lunch

The annual art show and lunch at the Palmerton Area Library, 402 Delaware Ave., will be held from noon to 3 p.m. Sunday. If you are interested in entering the show this year, please call the library at 610-826-3424 and ask for Diane.

Community meal

A free community meal will be served from 4 to 6 p.m. Jan. 25 at St. John’s Episcopal Church, 365 Lafayette Ave., Palmerton. All are invited to join together for a meal and fellowship.

Bus trip

Emmanuel United Church of Christ, 509 Hamilton St., Bowmanstown, is sponsoring a bus trip on June 2 to Sight & Sound to see “Jesus.” The group will eat at Bird-in-Hand Restaurant in Lancaster. For information, please call 484-560-1863.

American Legion

Palmerton American Legion Post 269 will meet at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the VFW Post, 2020 Forest Inn Road, Palmerton. The group meets the fourth Tuesday of each month.

Breakfast buffet

An all-you-can-eat breakfast buffet will be served from 8 a.m. to noon on Sunday at the Bowmanstown Rod & Gun Club, 525 Club Road, Palmerton. Items include eggs to order, ham, bacon, sausage, potatoes, etc.

Wing, taco and clam specials are every Wednesday night from 5 to 8 p.m. Dinners are served every Friday night from 4 to 8 p.m. Open to the public.

Doughnut sale

Jerusalem Evangelical Lutheran Church, 500 Church Drive, (Trachsville) Palmerton, is selling Persian doughnuts.
