Bulldogs, Bombers pick up wins
The Northern Lehigh and Palmerton girls basketball teams picked up Colonial League victories on Friday night.
GIRLS BASKETBALL
Catasauqua-No. Lehigh
Northern Lehigh cruised to a 47-29 Colonial League victory over Catasauqua.
Jill Olewine and Jada Saeger both had 16 points to lead the Bulldogs (4-8, 4-4).
For Catty (3-13, 1-10), Alexis Rushatz had eight points.

Minersville posted a 51-49 Schuylkill League overtime victory over Lehighton.
The Miners’ Gehrig Hossler stole the ball on an Indian inbounds play and scored the game-winner at the buzzer.
Bryce Ellinger led the Miners (4-7, 1-3) with 18 points.
Lehighton (2-11, 0-6), which led 40-36 with 15 seconds left in regulation, was led by Stephen Heery (14 points) and Caine Carpenter (12 points).

Tri-Valley held off a furious rally from Marian to claim a 74-63 Schuylkill League win.
Ashton Buchanan and Chase Deeter both had 18 points for the Bulldogs. Nick Ziegmont added 10 points.
Tyler Fritz scored 21 of his game-high 33 points in the fourth quarter for the Colts, who trailed 56-34 entering the final frame. Noah Stauffer added 13 points, 11 of which came in the second half.

Lourdes Regional used a balanced attack to hand Panther Valley a 79-58 setback in a Schuylkill League contest.
Larry Czeponis scored 23 points for the Red Raiders. CJ Reichard and Ty Klembara both added 16 points apiece, while Thomas Schultz scored 14 and Adam Sandri tallied 10.
Tristan Blasko scored 26 points for the Panthers (7-4, 4-1), who suffered their first loss in league play. Rene Figueroa added 15 points, and Allen Perez scored 10.
Lourdes won the JV game, 40-38.
