Palmerton Area Public Library will host a production of “The Day the Crayons Came Home” this Friday.

The play, based on a sequel to the book “The Day the Crayons Quit,” tells the tale of a set of crayons writing messages to their owner after leaving their box.

Lehigh Valley Charter High School for the Arts’ senior theater company will conduct the performance.

“They’ve done three events for us in the past, and they’re excellent,” library director Diane Danielson said.

The show, which is free, starts at 10:30 a.m., and all are welcome to attend.
