Trinity happenings

Sunday worship at Trinity Lutheran Church, 175 S. Third St., includes recognition of baptisms from last year, beginning at 9:30 a.m.

Music is provided by the Trinity Praise Band. The Rev. Nancy Moore presides. Vicar Richard Bergen assists. Coffeehouse fellowship follows.

Sunday church school classes for students age 3 through sixth grade begin at 10:45 a.m.

There will be no church school classes next week due to the annual meeting when reports of congregational activities are reviewed and actions vital to the health of the Trinity occur.

“Breaking Bread” youth group for students in grades 7-12 will gather from 5-7 p.m. Jan. 14 and 28 in the youth room with supper, Bible study and discussion.

“Thunder and Lightning” youth group for students in grades 4-6 will gather 5-7 p.m. Jan. 24 in the youth room with a similar format. Vicar Rich Bergen is the director.

For those desiring to seek membership at Trinity or arranging a baptismal date, an appointment may be arranged with Pastor Moore by contacting the church office at 610-377-4303.

In the event of inclement weather which may lead to cancellations, look on the listings on WFMZ-TV or BRCTV Channel 13, plus a message will be recorded on the church phone.

Bethany EC Church

Bethany EC Church, 222 North St., holds Sunday worship with the Rev. Jeff Stansbury, pastor.

Sunday school is at 9:30 a.m. with classes for all ages, including adult Bible study class, fellowship time at 10:15 a.m., morning worship at 10:45 a.m., preschool nursery available and Jr. Church provided for children in kindergarten through sixth grade.

Monday: Kids Club, 6-7:15 p.m.

Wednesday: Revelation Bible study, 6 p.m.; prayer meeting, 7 p.m.

Thursday: Men’s Bible study at McDonald’s, 5:15 a.m.
