Legion Auxiliary
The West End Memorial Legion Auxiliary is on the calendar for a meeting at 6 tonight at the Legion Post Home in Gilbert.
WEPOSC meets
The West End Park and Open Space Commission is slated to meet at 6:30 tonight at the Chestnuthill Park Building in Brodheadsville.
PVEN meets
The Pleasant Valley Ecumenical Network board of directors will meet at 9 a.m. Thursday in the church’s parish hall.
Community meals
Our Lady Queen of Peace Church will again be the site of a West End Mission meal, being served from 4:40 to 5:45 p.m. Thursday.
A community breakfast is set for 8 to 10 a.m. and another community meal from 3 to 4 p.m. on Sunday.
All dates are dependent on weather.
School Board
The Pleasant Valley School District Board of Education is slated to meet at 7 p.m. Thursday in the Administrative Building in Brodheadsville.
Legion meets
West End Memorial American Legion Post 927 is slated to meet at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the Legion home in Gilbert.

Monroe Seniors
The Chestnuthill group of Monroe County Seniors, meeting in Zion Lutheran Church’s Fellowship Hall in Brodheadsville, will again gather together Friday and next Wednesday. Doors open at 9 a.m. and close at 2 p.m.
The menu for Friday is taco salad and for next Wednesday it’s roast turkey.
Seniors are reminded to call by 11 a.m. the day before at 570-242-6770.
Twelve Ways to Beat Stress is the special program being presented by LaTania R. Jones the Chestnuthill Center on Jan. 17.
