West Penn Township is accepting proposals for a billboard that would be located at its police department.
Supervisors announced on Tuesday that bids for the construction and lease of a digital sign outdoor advertising are due to the township by Jan. 15.
The bids will be opened by the board at 9 a.m. Jan. 16.
A private firm is interested in installing the billboard and paying the township a rental fee over the course of a 20-year contract that would amount to between $4,000 to $4,600 per year, or $86,203 over the length of the contract.
Also on Tuesday, supervisors adopted a resolution to oppose the Wireless Infrastructure Deployment Bill, and agreed to sign the emergency operations plan update — promulgation statement.
