State police at the Fern Ridge barracks are investigating the theft of six propane tanks from the locked cage outside the Dollar General Store, 1424 State Route 903, Penn Forest Township.

The theft occurred between 11:30 p.m. Sunday and 7:30 a.m. Monday.
