A Monroe County man is charged with several counts after he allegedly pointed a gun at police officers.
Pocono Mountain Regional police said officers responded to 3105 Sequoia Road, in Tobyhanna, in Coolbaugh Township, about 8:38 p.m. on Tuesday to a report of a fight. Upon arrival, officers attempted to make contact at the front door and were met by Diego Lozano, 60, who refused to come out and then pointed a Ruger rifle at the officers.
Officers secured a perimeter and Lozano was taken into custody after contact was made inside the residence and he came out voluntarily.
He was charged with aggravated and simple assault, terroristic threats, possession of an instrument of crime and recklessly endangering another person. The aggravated assault count is a felony two.
Lozano was arraigned before a district judge and committed to the county prison in Snydersville after failing to post bail.
