Deep freeze continues through the week

Wind chills are locally reaching -15 to -20 degrees on exposed ridge tops in the southern Poconos. If outside, be sure to dress appropriately to avoid potential frostbite or hypothermia.

Wind Chill Advisories will likely be needed again for Thursday night through Saturday morning with wind chills falling to at least 10 to 20 below zero.

Today: Mostly sunny, with a high near 21. Wind chill values as low as -5. West wind 7 to 10 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.

Tonight: Mostly clear, with a low around 6. West wind 3 to 6 mph.

Wednesday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 26. Calm wind becoming south around 6 mph in the afternoon.

Wednesday Night: A chance of snow. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 13. Calm wind becoming north around 5 mph after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 40%. Little or no snow accumulation expected.
