The annual Christmas Party of the VFW Auxiliary to Nesquehoning Memorial Post 8008 was held on Dec. 14 at Lengyel’s Restaurant. President Christa Kattner presided at the brief business meeting.

Two applications for membership were approved. A thank-you was received for the Valor Stand Down donation. All other business was deferred until the January meeting.

Due to some employment conflicts, a discussion was held regarding changing the meeting day. It was approved to change the meeting days to the third Friday of the month at 6:30 p.m. The next meeting will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Jan. 19 at the post home.
