State police at Frackville barracks are investigating a fight that ended with one participant ramming the other’s car.

Police were summoned at 2:30 a.m. Dec. 17 to investigate an assault case that resulted in serious bodily injury.

The incident started in the social hall of the New Ringgold Fire Company and continued in its parking lot, and onto Route 895 in East Penn Township.

Police said a bar fight erupted in the social hall resulting in Kevin Greenaway of Saint Clair being ejected from the premises. He told police he was then severely beaten in the parking lot.

After leaving the scene, Greenaway returned multiple times and made feints at attempting to run over patrons leaving the hall. Greenaway said a patron, Andrew Bensinger of New Philadelphia, forced his vehicle part way off the roadway using another vehicle.

Police said Greenaway then followed Bensinger along Route 895, repeatedly ramming his vehicle into the rear of Bensinger’s vehicle.

Police said charges will be filed upon completion of the investigation.
