Franklin Township has an agreement in place with its new chief of police.
The board ratified an agreement between supervisors and Doll, from Nov. 29, 2017, to Dec. 31, 2020.
Doll’s salary will be $73,851.
Last month, supervisors appointed Doll as the township’s new chief of police. However, the terms of Doll’s contract, including his wages, were not settled at that point in time.
Doll, who has been acting police chief since April 1, was making $31.90 per hour.
He has been a full-time officer with the police department since 2003.
Thomas Beltz had previously served as the chief of police until he retired April 1.
Beltz had been a member of the police department for over 30 years.
In other police matters, supervisors also agreed to hire Christopher Lekka as a full-time patrolman.
Lekka, who will start Jan. 1, was hired at a salary of $23.53 per hour.
With the hire, the department now has three full-time officers, including Doll, and four part-timers.
