A hit-and-run incident that happened at 4:39 p.m. Saturday on Maury Road in Penn Forest Township is being investigated by state police at the Lehighton barracks.
Police said they are looking for a red Nissan pickup truck that should have moderate front-end damages to it. Anyone with information about the vehicle is asked to call police at 610-681-1850.
Police said the truck struck a 2017 Nissan Altima whose operator was Amanda B. Crandall, 23, of Jim Thorpe. That vehicle was facing north on the Maury Road after a previous crash, at which time the operator was exchanging information with the other driver of the earlier mishap.
Police said the Nissan was traveling too fast for conditions when it struck the parked vehicle and the driver continued to drive away without stopping, rendering aid or exchanging information with Crandall.
