High winds today, 1-2 inches of snow tonight

A period of accumulating snow is expected tonight, resulting in hazardous travel conditions, according to the National Weather Service.

The latest forecast:

Today: Mostly sunny, with a high near 27. Breezy, with a west wind 13 to 20 mph, with gusts as high as 38 mph. 

Tonight: Snow likely, mainly after 10pm. Cloudy, with a low around 18. West wind around 6 mph becoming calm after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New snow accumulation of 1 to 2 inches possible. 

Thursday: A chance of snow showers before 1pm. Cloudy, then gradually becoming mostly sunny, with a high near 28. Light north wind becoming northwest 5 to 9 mph in the morning. Chance of precipitation is 30%. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible. 

Thursday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 15. Northwest wind 5 to 7 mph becoming calm after midnight. 

Friday: A chance of snow showers after 1pm. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 29. Calm wind becoming southwest around 5 mph in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 30%. Little or no snow accumulation expected. 

Friday Night: A slight chance of snow showers before 1am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 20. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Saturday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 32.

Saturday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 18.
