State police at Frackville reported on two crashes investigated by troopers earlier this week.
A two-vehicle crash was reported on Monday at 5:50 p.m. at the intersection of Schuylkill Road and Route 443 in the village of Hecla, East Brunswick Township. Troopers said James C. Tringone Jr., 36, of New Ringgold, was operating a 1995 Jeep Grand Cherokee when he pulled out from a stop sign on Schuylkill Road and into the path of a 2005 Ford F-150 pickup truck driven by Eugene Oscar Muth III, 52, of Kempton, Berks County, who was westbound on Route 443.
Muth was treated at the scene by New Ringgold ambulance personnel for a minor injury, while Tringone was not injured. Also assisting troopers at the scene were volunteers from the Citizens Fire Company of New Ringgold.
Damages were disabling to both vehicles.
Troopers cited Tringone for a stop sign violation.
The second crash was reported at 10:55 a.m. on Tuesday along Route 61 in Blythe Township. Troopers said Mary L. Rushanan, 70, of Frackville, and Dennis W. Hollinger, 63, of Barnesville, were both northbound when Hollinger slowed for a prior crash. His 2014 Dodge Ram pickup truck was struck in the rear by Rushanan’s 2007 Ford Explorer.
No one was injured. The Ford had to be towed from the scene.
Rushanan was cited for following too closely.
