• Elton E. Gonzalez, 26, of the 300 block of West Abbott Street, Lansford, was lodged in the Schuylkill County prison in Pottsville on Nov. 19 in connection with a domestic incident in Tamaqua.
Tamaqua police were called to a home in the 700 block of East Broad Street at 8:05 p.m. for a domestic in progress. The victim said Gonzalez grabbed her by the arms, shoved her and threatened to squeeze the life out of her.
Gonzalez was arraigned on charges of making terroristic threats, simple assault and harassment. Bail was set at $1,000 straight, which he was unable to post.
• Theresa A. Coppola, 57, of Mauch Chunk Street, Tamaqua, was cited for defiant trespass, disorderly conduct and feeding/sheltering feral cats on Nov. 28.
Coppola has been warned repeatedly to stay off the neighbor’s property and to stop feeding the stray cats in the area.
• Amanda Fisher, 26, of the 100 block of Orwigsburg Street, Tamaqua, was charged with retail theft after stealing $15.06 worth of candy from the Family Dollar Store, 125 Center St., on Nov. 28.
• Lucia Stroble, 32, of Bethlehem, was cited for retail theft after taking a backpack from the Dollar General Store, 1213 E. Broad St., on Nov. 20.
