State police at the Lehighton barracks said charges of driving under the influence of alcohol are pending against Mark A. Foster, 54, of Jordon Drive in Saylorsburg, who was driving a vehicle that crashed at 10:44 p.m. Nov. 7 on Blue Ridge Road in Ross Township.
Police said Foster was eastbound when he failed to negotiate a left curve in the roadway. The vehicle struck a mailbox on a property in the 200 block of Blue Ridge Road, then continued a few feet into a wooded area before coming to rest as it got hung up on brush and small trees.
Police said Foster was wearing his seat belt and was uninjured.
The DUI arrest is pending the results of toxicology tests, police said.
